| And the song is...? OK this could be a game or it could be a useful resource. Basically there's a song you hear often but haven't a clue what its called or who its by. I'll start with one they play at work, its an oldie and one i've always loved but never knew who sang it! Some of the lyrics are as follows The revolution's here, and you know its right. And you know that its right. We have got to get it together We have got to get it together We have got to get it together,now... Mike at work said its the Beatles, the plank! Has a wicked piano bit in the middle. Please someone put me out my misery! |

| Resident Evil | Re: And the song is...? It's a brilliant song (though not all they did) and the piano part is so bad it's the most excellent bit of ivory tickling ever committed to vinyl. Mr Newman was not particularly a handsome guy and was a little older than the rest of the band so he always had a tough time when the groupies swarmed around backstage and headed straight for the younger, prettier guys. I don't think the band lasted very long and that could very well have been the reason. Your mate at work. Beatles? Somebody's ears need waxing. I found mine on You Tube last week. The line was "can't make no headway on this road" and I remembered the tune and style of vocal that went with it, but I had no recollection whatever of the rest of the song, though I felt it must be The Who with Pete doing the lead vocal. Then I thought, why not google the line? What harm can it do? So I did and I got a link to Cat Stevens singing Fill My eyes and then I remembered going through a Cat Stevens phase for a while a few years ago. ![]() I fear that as long as there's a google to google with, this thread may become quite short-lived |

- Z. Okay how about these obscure lyrics: You can climb a mountain You can swim the sea You can jump into the fire But you’ll never be free You can shake me up Or I can bring you down Oh, Whoa- oh whoa, whoa whoa We can make each other happy Or we can make each other happy ![]() - Z.
