| Re: If you met GRRM... If I met him I would thank him for saving the fantasy genre for me. After a few bad reads back in late '90's I had pretty much decided to leave the fantasy genre for good. Then a nice bookstore owner recommended A Game of Thrones. The rest, as they say, is history... |

| Re: If you met GRRM... Before I read this thread I was wonder who Raven was and now I know. Again, what a small place the internet is ![]() The questions I'd ask would be pretty nerdy (funnily enough, I started a similar thread on the Westeros board itself a while back): 1) What are the house mottos of the Freys and Boltons? 2) How did Aegon I convince the Arryns to join the Seven Kingdoms: conquest or diplomacy? 3) Why did the Faith turn so violently against Aenys when they'd given Aegon I their wholehearted support? 4) Were there three Targaryen Valyrian swords or just the two that have been named (Dark Sister and Blackfyre)? 5) Have the seasons always been out-of-whack or were they once 'normal' (similar to the real world's), perhaps before the Long Night? |
