Re: Trigun - Vaaash

I've read the Nightow's Trigun manga, but only seen half of the anime. It was pretty good, fast moving and funny. Just started reading the Trigun Maximum series, too.

Trigun is one of my favorites. The 60,000,000,000 double dollar man! He's such a coward, that is until "the situation is not equal." Gotta love him.

Re: Trigun - Vaaash

My cousin loves the manga (Trigun and Trigun Maximum) but hates the anime. According to him, the anime version adapted the story poorly.

For me - I like the anime, and I believe my cousin. So, I am eager to see the manga. Does anyone have opinion about the old "manga vs. anime" issue for Trigun?

Re: Trigun - Vaaash

My opinion shouldn't count, really, because I don't like manga and I love anime. I know, I've heard so many times that "the manga is better," but I've tried to read Eureka 7 and One Piece, both of which I love as anime, and I couldn't get into them. I love Western comics, but conventions of manga are just too different for me to really enjoy them. Reading right to left doesn't bother me, but everything else does. And I really like to see color in my comics.

Re: Trigun - Vaaash

Does anyone know if the manga has ended? Haven't read it yet, though I have a number of them on my shelf, and someday I will know enough Japanese to actually read them.

I love Vash's character, though the anime as a whole is uneven. I like the themes they deal with; the whole is somehow more than the sum of its parts. And I prefer the English dub- I can't imagine anyone besides Johnny Yong Bosch being able to pull off Vash's range.

Re: Trigun - Vaaash

As far as I know (I haven't read the manga), there are 3 volumes of TRIGUN, and 16 volumes of TRIGUN MAXIMUM. If I'm not wrong, the manga has finished.
