![]() Reminder to self: avoid threads mentioning cool things on BBC. I'm very likely to miss them, and knowing that I'm doomed to never ever seeing them on this iPlayer makes me depressed. Shucks. | |

| Re: Pterry on BBC1 tonight Well, I watched it, and would've liked more of him featured... but it was cool to see him live. He mainly talked about Alzheimer's and the effect it has on him (such as missing things right in front of him, or struggling with his typing) and about celebrities publishing their autobiographies (since the interviewers asked him about his thoughts on that subject). Seems that a lot of people don't agree with people like... er... I forget her name (some footballer's wife) writing their life stories. Makes me wonder how they can get so much money from the books, if no one likes them. I suppose some people enjoy gossip and celebrities. ![]() But... I think the interviewers preferred "real" authors, like Pratchett, over the ones who are only out to earn money! They have sense! ![]() Anyway, interesting programme! |

| Re: Pterry on BBC1 tonight It just loaded as an inset in Opera. I wanted to hear pTerry talking more! Was good to see him anyway, even though they treated him as an introduction to the rest of their stories. |

| Re: Pterry on BBC1 tonight Do you mean it didn't work in Opera? Worked fine in mine, Joel. Try reloading the page if it doesn't work the first time. Sometimes things are weird like that. ![]() And there's only 1 day left for viewing... ![]() Oh, but I do know that if you upgraded your Adobe Flash player recently, the bug in it stopped Opera and Firefox users from viewing flash videos and Youtube vids. I had to re-install an older verion to fix it. Silly Adobe! |
