I like Opera....at least its better than the other junk thats out there, even on the radio!! I hav'nt listen to the radio in 5 years since it became trash with all the punk 'n' junk and rap sucks!! I like Opera. I love Bryan Adams and Sting, though. I mostly love orchestra music......movie soundtracks that I love to collect and listen to, classical music is a PLUS!! I like some new age. I love the Lifescapes music which has instrumental solos and sounds of nature on them as well. This is all I listen to!! I also like Josh Groban and Charolette Chruch. What else do you listen to??

Re: Any musicians in the house? I agree with you, JP. Nightwish is awfully flat; it sounds wicked the first few times around but then you realise there is nothing happening within the music. There is very little depth to it all, which is a pity, because female vocals are interesting. Arch Enemy and Therion do it much better, though.

Re: Any musicians in the house? Nightwish is good, but unfortunately it mostly sounds the same. And that is unfortunate, because the band is comprised of very talented musicians. Therion certainly have some very high points, but I find them a bit hit-and-miss in their psuedo-classical gestures (nonetheless, I think they're wicked). Arch Enemy are great apart from their vocals( spiritual beggars are better, Carcass cane AE to pieces-and that's just other Amott bands. For female vocals see The Gathering-best female vocals in a (albeit now only semi-) metal band, just don't have the Tarja sex appeal.

Re: Any musicians in the house? Metal was never about sex appeal, though. Thank god. :P Female vocals are for me nothing special, just a welcome change. They very rarely have the proper bands to back them up, anyway. Everyone is a talented musician from some point of view, but that doesn't mean they're any good, unfortunately. Theatre of Tragedy also have good female vocals and some pretty decent songs. To be honest, I don't listen to Therion much, myself, either. I have very fluctuating musical tastes, at the time I'm listening primarily to Iron Maiden, Rage Against the Machine, The Old Dead Tree, some Tool, and Seigmen.

Re: Any musicians in the house? What's 'The Old Dead Tree' like? Interesting name there ![]() I also looked for some Seigman when you suggested it a while back but couldn't find any on Kazaa, unfortunately. Listening to a lot of Tool here too, somehow Lateralus has become a summer favorite for me, so is getting many plays what with the good weather.

Well thats good. I judge movies though by the previews. If the preview entises me, I'll go see it. If the movie makes me cringe, I won't see it. I usually go for movies that have action/adventure, romance, history, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, all in one! The characters and the plot have to be there. These are my fav..... Gladiator The Last Samurai Troy Stargate Van Helsing The Patriot Harry Potter SpiderMan LOTR and many more.......
