Yeah, really Geoff, the teacher sounds a little bit snobbish, especially if all Major Work assignments involve a written portion.

Personally I think projects approached with an 'of course' attitude by all succeed more often than not. Plus, you should point out that you have an extensive cheering section to keep you on track.
