KiwiBird, I'm sure you'll get your wish. I don't see many of the characters living through this series. We might as well say goodbye to our favorites now, cause the odds (and GM's subconscious) are against them.

And QC, I dig your passion for the controversial characters, but I can't wait for Cersei's death. And Jamie's going to finish her, not the dwarf like she believes. I love the irony.

The favorite characters are the ones you love to hate. GW did great work with her...

Hey, wouldn't it have been cool if Ned took her up on the offer she made him in the Godswood, and then turned around and ratted her out the Robert anyway? (yes, I know, it would have been out of character for him...but it would still have been cool-).

and i knew as soon as i read the bit about the prophecy and the brother killing her, etc that it would be jaime. just too ironic not to be him...such a shame, i'm not ready to say goodbye to her yet. i'll have to cope with my other seven favourites.

Here's a question: Will GM do something very corny and write that her Father gives in and allows her to be "disciplined" by the Faith, "because he's not in a position to stop it," or will he be more realistic, which means Tyrell will go to war and be willing to do anything and sacrifice the entire kingdom rather than see one of his own be punished by his enemies, especially his little precious (add gollum voice)?

i know what i'd like to happen...something along the lines of Margaery getting 'disciplined' slowly and painfully by the Faith, then her family coming to watch and 'accidentally' falling into a bottomless pit, devouring and ridding the world of all tyrell scum.

I happen to like Margaery. Much more, in fact, after she calls Cersei a "vile, scheming, evil bitch." Very nicely put. Margaery is everything that Cersei pretends to be.

And the Queen of Thorns is cool, too.

The Queen of Thorns is the end all, be all of grandmothers. She is one of my absolute favorite characters, along with Doran Martell.
