| Re: Least Favorite Characters [quote]Only a mother can understand the love she feels towards her children and only a mother can understand the utter desperation she feels when she can't be there for all of her children all of the time. She wants to be there for them 100% of the time, make no mistake about that......... Okay, if Caitlyn loved her children SOOOO much, why would she abanmdon them at winterfell to go see ned when she couldve just sent Rodrik to send the same message. its stupid. So it caitlyn. | Re: Least Favorite Characters Well, quite a list RhaegarTarg. I for one, am happy Ned, Robb and Robert are dead. Sets the series apart. I do agree with Pycelle. He does need to bite it somehow but not before all of the information he has is extracted. Maybe Cersei will give him to Qyburn when she gets out. |

| Re: Least Favorite Characters I hate Tyrion because he's always making sarcastic comments and acting like a wiseass. I don't like when people try to be funny. Humor is so annoying. I also dislike abnormally short people with different-colored eyes. |

| Re: Least Favorite Characters I've gotta join this. Here's a mixed list of Like and Don't LIke: The Freys - Love'em. Although I can't wait to see them all die painfully, brutally. Cercei - Can't wait till she's dead. I didn't need her POV in Feast. I reread the Feast while skipping her parts, and it read a lot better. Tywin - Awesome. I was sorry to see him go, although HOW he was killed was great (except for finding Shae in his bed. That was bs, a convenient way to have Tyrion kill them both before he ran. That's o.k. though, no writer is perfect). Tyrion - The Best. I personally like obnoxious-midget humor. Can't wait to get his new POV in Dance. Arya - I'm like it, but it's starting to drag (in Feast). Don't over due it G.M., get to the chase. Jaime - I liked him before, even though he was a dick. Interesting stuff going on with him in Feast, now that he's a crip. Jon - Jon's been alright. The important thing for him now is he MUST get Slynt killed. If at the beginning of Dance Jon doesn't send Slynt on a suicide mission (payback), and if Slynt has time to "secretly" plot against Jon, then Jon deserves to die slowly and painfully at the hands of the Lannisters for being an idiot (the Others would be too good for him). Being "Good" doesn't mean being an idiot. Brieanne - She was tolerable in Storm. What a waiste in Feast. All those pages... and in the end... nothing happened. Catelyn - I couldn't wait for her to die. Now that she did, she may get better. Rob - I liked him, I was sorry to see him die...but it was cool to read it happening. Brandon - This is going to be good...(hopefully). enough for now, more later. |

| Re: Least Favorite Characters Welcome Wil. I like Ser Jorah. In some respects he sees himself and the world very clearly, while he obviously deludes himself into thinking every problem and dilemma in his life is not his fault. He painfully reminds me of myself. |

but i do think that martin does portray them as they are described... second in power .. first in wealth .. they display an arrogance that is usually --abeit sometimes stereotypically -- attributed to wealthy people. *edit* regarding the Lannisters.. though that may have been a bit obvious... x)

Good one! I hadn't quite thought of it that way. I will now add him to may "maybe" list. Let's see what he does in Dance. While I don't blame him for his initial betrayal, I want to see how he makes up for it (or at least for getting caught). Does he turn, does he, "through a daring display of self-sacrifice (gag)," make it up to Daenerys, or does he do a Hemingway and die fighting for the cause in order to make amends? Only time (and GM) will tell.
