Re: Who said that?

I think someone said that to Jaime when he returned to the seige at riverrun.. I'll look it up.

EDIT: No no, it was Dany to Jorah.

Re: Who said that?

Just a side note regarding Rain's last quote "Do you take me for a fool?" I don't have my book in front of me, but I believe I read the exact quote from Viserys at Dany's debutante/engagement party. Illyrio advised Viserys to act a certain way to which Viserys asked, "Do you take me for a fool?" Illyrio then responded by saying, "I take you for a king. Kings lack the caution of lesser men"... or something to that effect.

I just thought that it is interesting that there could have been two correct answers.

Rain, also thanks for taking my irritating behavior in good spirit.

Re: Who said that?

It was my quote Boaz and I guess it is a common thing to say to someone.

Just checked and you are quite correct

“Do you take me for a fool?” The magister bowed slightly. “I take you for a king. ...

Wonder if there are any other instances in the books

Phbbt. I'm a moderator on a forum where the topics range from religious v/s atheist debates to discussions of beer volcanoes in heaven. It takes far more than that to irritate me.

We even have a SoIF thread..

Re: Who said that?

Close Rainswept, it was to Jorah (my favourite disillusioned knight) but it wasn't Dany who said it. Keep trying...

Re: Who said that?

Ding, ding, ding. We have a weiner!

It was Arstan Whitebeard who said before the walls of Mereen in ASOS before Strong Belwas went to kill the Mereense champion (which made for a great scene and the POV later showed, what I thought was wisdom in Dany).

Your turn my fair lady.
