After puzzling for a while i do think it was Varys, when Tyrion was doubting in his motives before the escape!

(Also i now came to the conclusion that my previous poster perhaps wanted to say the eunuch? )

Welcome, if no one has said that yet.

Subsitute the brother with the matching pair of eyes for the other and you're correct about the "waiter". Boaz, sohuld, of course, confirm or deny the answer itself.

And we all know that unich is something we do while shaving, so this was an understandable mistake, given the context

Jatkinson, welcome. The quote was from Varys... It came from Jaime's memory of enlisting Varys' assistance for Tyrion's escape.
