| Re: Who said that? While we wait, I would like to ask a side question. Can anyone recommend a book or series similar to aSoIaF. By that, I mean, no use classic hero. Avoids cliche worn out fantasy ideas. Has a lot of depth and character development. And is a really good read. Assume I've read nothing. |

| Re: Who said that? TPA- Check out Joe Abercrombie. Tonally, he's pretty similar to Martin. Character focused, lots of blood, sex, and swearing. There's a strain of mordant humor that runs through his stuff that I really enjoy. It's not Martin, but it's fun. Also worth checking out The Lies of Locke Lamorra. It doesn't have nearly the scope of ASoIaF but shares a certain texture with it. |

| Re: Who said that? Martin fans read Malazan? Please help me find another book to read! I need a new series to read. RR and Hobb. Good books. I wish Egg were here to scold me. Rah! Oh, Rah! My new guess is Lyn Corbray. |

Soon after the funeral, there was a conversation about new council members. There were two choices for master of coin. Giles Rosby, who caughed ceaselessly, and Garth Tyrell (Garth the Gross) with flatulence problems. I think at this occasion someone said that they would rather the coughing since they have had enough of bad smells...but who? I will take a shot in the dark Taena Merryweather | |
