Re: Who said that?

147 pages, anyone cares to gather the quotes up, and list them chronically to make an interesting tale?

I agree 100%. It's really impossible to read even a fair majority of posts here and not pick up an occasional spoiler.

Re: Who said that?

OK, I THINK this won't be that difficult, but we'll see. This is a Boaz inspired post

Give me both speakers please

“No,” said..............“I don’t want that. I don’t.”

“So you’ll kill him?”

“Yes.” ......................... “I will.”

No, I don't own it. Been a bit busy and the local bookstore closed down recently. Also been cutting back on my reading alot, but when the opportunity presents itself or I feel like some GRRM, I'll see what I can scrounge up.

As for feeling sorry for me, DON'T. Handicaps add spice to games, I feel.

And on spoilers, alot of stuff in ASOIAF is foreshadowed and hindsighted hither, thither and yonder. I don't care so much about the plot, when it comes to reading, but rather the manner in which the plot is conveyed. Most users are also courteous enough to give a caveat before posting spoilers.

Sounds like something from the mouth of Daenarys, Sansa or Arya. Have to search my memory on this one (and if it's from AFFC, too bad for me ). To be quite honest, I am halfway through a Storm of Swords. Read the previous two three times each over a period of time.

Where exactly in ASOS are you? Where are the major characters/what are they doing?

All those guesses were incorrect btw

Id be hard pressed NOT to care. Its the kind of story that sweeps you up. You must have the discipline of an Unsullied.

SPOILERS & in brief

Davos was just taken out of the Dragonstone dungeons and made Hand.

Sansa was married to Tyrion.

Jaime had his conversation with Roose Bolton and to an interesting conclusion. Perhaps not so interesting to Brienne, who is supposed to have a far worse fate (hmm, that was ambiguous, not too much of a spoiler can be garnered from that).

Catelyn has just held her dead father's funeral rites. Her boy Robb has recently married Jeyne Westerling of the Crag, upsetting the contracts and pride of Lord Frey. To regain the strength of the Frey's, certain plans are being counciled on by those closest to Robb.

Arya is being conducted to Riverrun by a band of discomfited citizens organized into a clandestine operation by Beric Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr.

Daenarys: This latest chapter disturbs me. A society of slave traders would not put themselves in such jeopardy and so blindly unless they were afflicted by some extreme retardations of the mind and it's faculties. Or unless the plot of a book or the reactions of the audience dictates it. The Harpies' Sons, from what I can gather a once great civilization and established slavemongers, would have a) contrived a far more efficient way of trading slaves or b) would not have traded no more than a quarter of there most elite troops at any one time, especially within the confines of their own city, if their other garrisons could not have stymied said elites. The every hint in this chapter alluded to what was about to happen that I was beginning to grow tired halfway through and found myself wishing Daenarys would get on with the act. One of the poorer chapters, in terms of logic, really. I was actually so turned off by this chapter that I haven't read much ASOS since. See if I can get back into the story.

Bran, Hodor and Meera, after Winterfell was razed, are on their way to Beyond the Wall to find the three-eyed crow (a wildling I think; perhaps Jon or Mance or a complete surprise). They have seperated from Rickon and Osha, who are on their own journey.

Don't cater to where I am in the book, though, if you had that notion. I'll simply post on those I know or think I know and ignore the rest.

You have some amazing stuff ahead of you, and do buy AFFC I won't say any more for fear of ruining the plot for you. Yes, sometimes plot matters, and not knowing what's coming can be a delicious treat when it finally gets there.

Re: Who said that?

I suppose the lack of guesses would make a hint appropriate

The convrsation between the two characters is from ASOS
