Just want to be sure but you do understand the rules of the game right? It has to be a quote from the A Song of Ice and Fire series. I could be totally wrong but I think that line comes from The Left Hand of Darkness...

But why you would post that here I am yet to discover...

Re: Who said that?

hectic, so sorry, but Ghost is correct. If you peruse the twenty-nine pages of Martin's forum, you'll see that very little is devoted to works other than ASOIAF. The title of the thread does not specifically state that we're looking for ASOIAF quotes here, but it was stated in the OP by Centurion... and it's been hammered out over three and a half years.

If you'd like to post a new quote from ASOIAF, please do so.

If you'd like to start a new thread with non-ASOIAF quotes, please feel free.

If you'd like to post a quote by Ursula LeGuin, please try the Ursula LeGuin forum.

If Ghost and I are wrong and your quote is from ASOIAF, please feel free to correct us in a mocking, and yet, courteous post.

Let's just put this one down to newb+booze+scattergun posting. Apologies for non-observance of protocol.

Re: Who said that?

hectic, forget about it. My guess is that at least ten percent of all posts here are alcohol related... with me, that percentage is higher (espcially before noon). Now, post us a new quote!

No harm done, just put up another quote and we'll forgive you.

Re: Who said that?

I'm sure it was said regarding the sacking/buring of Winterfell, and I have the name on the tip of my tongue, it just won't roll off.

Re: Who said that?

Uh... I dunno. Sounds to me like one of those peasants that first told Eddard of the Mountain's raid.
