Server load issues today

Apologies all for chrons being up and down and being slow today - another site on the same server got hit with amassive traffic spike, which caused everything to slow down really badly.

However, the server admins have finally managed to get everything optimised to handle the continuing traffic spike, so hopefully chrons should be able to run fine again.

Am thinking maybe this means I should move chrons over to a new server to help avoid a repeat of this - should be painless - but already been a very busy day as it is so am just going to observe and see what happens first.

Last time you moved servers it took months before I was getting my present, reliable contact.

What other site was it and why did they have a massive traffic spike?

Perhaps it was lots of people saying "goodbye" because they'd found this really good SF/F site....
