I seem to have an abundance of happy news this week.

In about two weeks' time, my monthly online order will arrive and in that order will be Hitchcock Complete; a box set of his movies, including The Birds, Psycho, Rear Window and Vertigo.

Already in my basket for next month's purchase is the season 1 box set of Star Trek: The Original Series. I plan on buying a season a month.

If only I lived in Cape Town, I'd be right over! Hitchcock and the original Star Trek series are def at the top of my favorites list!

Today was a wonderful day.

Yesterday my mom turned 75 and some of the family threw a surprise party for her. I, and a few others in the family, couldn't make it to that party so we gathered at my mom's home today for a delightfully noisy, happy lunch that stretched into the early evening.

At one point my mother (who walks with a cane) got up and started boogie-ing away like a teenager, while we all cheered her on. And I recorded it!

When we left, my mom was still beaming from ear to ear and looked 10 years younger. She hadn't expected to have a weekend-long birthday celebration and was as happy as a kid on Christmas morning. Good times.

Have got a little toe in the door at last!

Waterstones in Hastings have agreed for me to do a book signing in April, a couple of weeks after the publication of my next novel.

Is this a big grey box thing? With about twelve or so films in it? Because I'm buying that tomorrow from Hmmmv! Was reduced from £90 to £20, I couldn't resist.
