Finished my latest novel "The Masque of all Mysteries" and it is having its final proof read by two friends who teach advanced English and the illustrator is getting ready with the art work. Hopefully it will be available end March. Yeehaaa.

I can now have a wee bit of a relax!

Perhaps I'll now have some time to visit the Chrons more often.

Well, I've been arguing with Southern Electric over a year old bill for the tune of roughly 500 quid. I got back from work this morning to find an Email from 'em saying its null and void!

Not only am I pleased and my new found financial freedom (how many bottles of whisky and ink cartridges is £500?) but I also put a fair bit of work into fighting this one. I feel like a TV show lawyer; Ironside perhaps, or that lady who kept hallucinating a dancing baby and who is now married to Han Solo.

Good for you, J-WO, hallucinations aside, it's fantastic when the one wins against the many, especially when the many is a huge corporation who is in the wrong!

Cheers folks. Initially, I was going to grit my teeth and pay it, but then I read this article about Hunter S. Thompson; he was always taking on 'the man' like this and won nearly all of his legal battles. He said something like- 'if you choose to be an outlaw then know the laws they're chasing you with'. Really inspired me to get off my ass and do something.

There's no harm in shaking the corporate tree once in a while. Hell, it can even be fun.

I had a similar experience in the late 1990's with an energy company who I won't name... it eventually transpired that they had opened five accounts in my and my wife's name. True!

After two and a half weeks travelling, then getting back and discovering our internet connection was out until a local representative of the telecommunications industry rewired something (which took a week) I can finally log in again, and start deleting viagara E-mails
