Re: Existing and proposed new books...

Lacey, the Legends of the Riftwar are spin-offs from the computer games... Think Mr Feist was trying to help tie them into the series... Okay, they aren't the best of the lot, but they aren't as bad as people say...

The Darkwar Saga is after the Conclave of Shadows, and I would presume, from the titles, deals with the Mad Gods attempt to consumes Midkemia AGAIN!!!

And I would very much doubt that there would be any of the books from the bad guys point of view - REF is always on the side of good!!!! If I ever get chance to ask him a question, I'd love to ask if he'd do a book from the bad guys viewpoint - Dealing with those pesky kids!!!

Haven't seen Midkemia online, and don't really have time to get into MMORPG

You think he'd find another hobby wouldn't you? Or maybe just settle for a nice beachfront property in Kesh?

But he is MAD!!!! He'd never think about getting a nice beach front property on a nudist beach and sit back to enjoy the view(s)!!!

Does Kesh have a nice beachfront property??? Queg has more beachfront...

Novindus has a huge sweeping beach, inaccessible from the mainland due to a 'wass aye' (God knows how to spell that) cliff face.

Midkemia has more potential for an online world than any other fantasy series.

hmm, don't know about that! I love the series but GRRM's seven kingdoms, Qarth, As'shai, Ghis etc have just as much potential
Not to mention Tolkien's middle earth - and there has been a plethora of games about that recently!

p.s. given the choice, I'd probably settle for a room with a view in Elvendar!

Re: Existing and proposed new books...

Whilst reading Rise of a Merchant Prince I realised that the economic system would support the economic set up in an online game.

Re: Existing and proposed new books...

Does Erik, Roo or Dash feature in any other works by Feist? They were all so young and excellent by the end of the Serpentwar, it would be a real shame if they did not feature again.

***SPOILER***

Dash becoming the Upright man at the end of the series was a fantastic twist.

Re: Existing and proposed new books...

Apparently Jimmy an Dash appeared in the Conclave series. Having read those books before I read Feist's earlier works, I am naturally a little confused about almost everything that took place in Conclave. I firmly believe that I could read those books again and it would be like reading a new set of books. I remember thinking who the hell is Pug etc etc etc. You can only imagine.
