Programmes like Star Trek have lost much of their character as a result of the big budgets and special effects. Whilst Doctor Who has always relied on inventiveness to get over the non-existence of cash.
Yet I would say there is more to it than that. Generally the Doctor and his companions have always been more 'believable', probably for the same reasons. |
