Re: Ravenheart and Stormrider Hi Troxio, welcome to Chrons. Technically you can read them before Sword and Midnight, although the four books are based around the Rigante people, Ravenheart and Stormrider are set hundreds of years later than the first two, However, certain events from the first two are mentioned in the last two and may spoil the reading of the first two as you'll know what happens. Anyway, hope you enjoy them, Gemmells books are first class .

Re: Ravenheart and Stormrider The first are better and IMO you have to read them first. These two books are good DG work but they arent worth ruining the first two. Reading them will spoil SITS and Midnight Falcon, they say several times says what happens to the heroes of the first two books since its the same people, history just several centuries later.

Re: Ravenheart and Stormrider Like everyone says - possible but not advisable. To be honest mate, you'll be dissapointed with Stormriders ending though. NO SPOILERS! But you'll know when you get there. The rest of the book's great but.. eurgh.. Terrible, terrible ending. Not his fault though. Have fun!

Re: Ravenheart and Stormrider lol i TOTTALLY disagree with what everyone else has said. I read Ravenheart and Stormrider first out of all the DG books and didn't find that they ruined the first two Rigante books at all. But that's just me ![]()

Re: Ravenheart and Stormrider thankyou for your opinion. I have read them in order since the first time I read them, and although I think the first two are awesome books I don't agree with you that they're better than the last two.But everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

![]() I must say though the history feel you get by reading the first two and then the others where Connavar,Bane etc have become legendary Rigante heroes made the series even better. To see their high in the first parts and their lows in the last two. Did you think that too after reading them the second time in order ? | |

Re: Ravenheart and Stormrider Yes I would say that's true. I think I didn't feel like the first two were ruined by reading them out of order because I prefer the character of Kaelin to either of the first two, that's all. But I think the historical thing is right, and it's something DG does very well ![]()
