Terrys Audio Books - Science Fiction Fantasy Chronicles: forums

Heyo

I have recently started to listen to Terry Pratchetts Audio books (they really do take the toil off a long car journey) and wondered if anyone out there is a fan?

Some recommendations would be fab too, I have just bought 'The colour of magic', 'The light fantastic' and the ever classic 'Mort'...

Never sampled them myself, but, as far as I know, they're unabridged (a bonus) and read by Tony "Baldric," Robinson (maybe not).

According to Wikipedia:

"For the unabridged recordings, books 1-23 except for books 3 and 9, are read by Nigel Planer. Book 3 is read by Celia Imrie. Book 9 and most of the books from 24 onward are read by Stephen Briggs. Abridged versions are read by Tony Robinson."

I'm a big fan of the Discworld audiobooks, they make my daily commute much more interesting and humourous. I highly recommend the City Watch series (Guards! Guards!, Men At Arms, etc...) I'm currently listening to Men At Arms and the voice-acting by Nigel Planer is top-notch.

Yeah they are read by Baldric, Tony reads em well, does funny voices, entertaining stuff

No fair!!

I cleared out my room over easter and found a few still in their plastic wrapping. Mort and Light Fantastic, I think. Now I just need a nice long car journey!

He used to run a book buisness, now he is in the cleaning buisness so I got some of the old stock.
