Re: Laurie Laurie died some time before Shadow of a Dark Queen by some cause not mentioned to us. He was married to Princess Carline, had a few children and grandchildren (the only one we saw was called Duncan) and was the Duke of Salador

Re: Laurie Throughout the books, Laurie was never as important as say Arutha or Pug, but he had his uses, mainly as a companion: a companion for Pug, Kasumi, Arutha...but, in my opinion, he didn't really become the destined hero he wanted to be

Re: Laurie I liked Laurie, mainly because he was more ordinary and more realistic, although, he was no Nakor. He was also a great friend to Pug on Kelewan and when he returns to Midkemia and helps the old magician, that struck a chord with me.

Re: Laurie Not a hero? he was directly responsible for bringing about the end of the riftwar, seems pretty heroic to me and I like them dying of natural causes, good to see those that deserve it having a long, and presumably happy, life
