from yesterday when i heard the confirmation from the owner of the publishing house himself and i can't get hold to myself

my babe , finally she'll see the light ,

i can't believe myself

well , this all i know till now , my novel will be at the market at summer , they are now busy by the book fair at london , then they'll contact me to arrange everything

well , i know that some of you have published many novels , and i want to know tips about publishing , like mistakes , what is good and what is bad , some sorts like this ..

well , as it's in arabic it'll be limited to the arabic world
but here the AUC (the american university at cairo ) will translate mine if it's succeeded , then it'll be world wide ..

and it's interesting to know there's a market for fantasy in the arabic world. it's not something i've thought of
makes you think, really. how many stories there are out there that i've never heard of just cos they're not in english! could be missing out on so much!

well , there isn't fantasy market here unfortunately , but people here at the publishing house believe in me , and i'm planning to make the first steps at arabic fantasy ..

ofcourse the market here is so thirst for fantasy , as harry potter series made great success here , but as for writingS i've found out that writers see it's huge difficult task to write fantasy .. so there is no fantasy arabic novels here

releasing my novel is a brave decision , it has so many risks inside it , but if i succeed - and i hope i would - i'll open many ways for fantasy here ..

by the way , publishers here starts to be aware of fantasy , tolkien great novels have been firstly translated and released , and it made high sales too

i have heard that philip pullman's dark materials are in process of translating , also chronicles of narnia too ..

well , fantasy is closed market here , and i'm hoping i can open it

That was the reason why I wanted to write my stories in English, facing all the odds out there, and trying to make something that not so many people have done. Writing is as difficult as it is, but writing it on another language is totally different story.

Magi, Congratulation from my behalf. Stay proud on what you have achieved. Not so many people have done what you have done. At the moment, you could be a unique person in the Arabic world. Don't let anything to spoil it.
