We had a nice mention of Meadowhawk Press in an article about book marketing tips on Associated Content by Rhetta Akamatsu. Yes, we were bribing people with chocolate. Many of her notes were from a panel I was on about book marketing. Part of the idea she is talking about wasn't mine originally, I borrowed it from a VP of Marketing who works for a bank. The idea that pens, bookmarks, etc. need to be more than a give-away. Turn the items into an event. "Bring this bookmark by the booth and you'll get a 10% discount of everything you purchase from us."
