Re: If there was a movie? ok now i know who your talking about... a younger Richard O'Brien might be good as Sadi... but he's pretty old now... he looked realling old in DnD and Ever After... Not sure if Sadi is supposed to be so old... That said, he would still be a good choice for Sadi.

Re: If there was a movie? Yeah, good point. I still see him as young and geeky though. What about Wil Wheaton aka Wesley Crusher from Star Trek TNG? There would have to be 2 different actors anyway wouldn't there? So I only need to find one more for Garion. I'll work on that one.

What about Jeremy Sumpter? (In case the pic doesn't work, he was Peter Pan in the 2004 version) Jeremy Sumpter It'll be hard, because Garion's really the only role you'd need at least two actors for, if not three... unless the farmhouse is skipped or done retrospectively. I just had a brainwave; Jim Carrey for Yarblek - I think he'd be marvelous at belching! | |

Re: If there was a movie? Yeh. Talysia i was dissapointed too. He is a good author and i would love to see his writings been put into a movie but well Eddings said it didn't. He spent atleast 20 years on these works and well a movie would be good.

Re: If there was a movie? hey, eddings is VERY old after all... as soon as he croaks - though, of course i hope not soon... the rights will end up sold to some studio... Gotta say, i never thought of Garion as being geeky... on the contrary, he may be clueless but hes also fun and for medievil he's rather 'cool' for a kid. Wil Wheaton as a child - never, as an adult - completely inappropriate. Pale, dark haired and soft looking - now and then. Garion is an emotional but still mentally strong person and as the lovely Salmissra says "he's much more muscular than i thought he'd be."

Re: If there was a movie? the guy who played Eragon is a good fit - particulary as Eragon IS Garion afterall... just cast as a dragon rider. Or Chris Egan - who plays Roran in Eragon... a decent enough actor and the right look. Just good looking enough as garion shouldn't be 'great' looking, and not too tall to play a 14/15/16 year old.
