| Firmly Planting Both Feet On Terra Firma Hey, gang, Time for another crazy post. Life is still in fluctuation. I am having ups and downs, mostly in my own head, I realize, but still... I have been busy finishing the scripting of my comic book. Yeah, I am experimenting graphically with turning a story in to a comic. I selected The Auld Wife's Lift from my collection Song of Silver from Dark Regions press because I could see it as a graphic storyline. At this point, I have a cover, a script and a few quick layout sketches, and am working on more. Meanwhile, I am busy getting taxes done. Had to drag the laptop to the downtown library and take advantage of the wireless just so I could download the updated for TurboTax. Ugh! On my puny little dialup, it would have taken a couple of days...on their blazingly swift wireless, got it downloaded in under 10 minutes (lots of updates thanks to laws changing, etc...) And in the meantime, I am trying to get Angels of Mercy edited so I can turn it back in to ye editors, along with a cover suggestion. I actually went out last Sunday and photographed churchyard angels. Not many of them out there, alas. However, the one I used to stand and stare at while walking my dog (yeah, the cemetery let you run your dogs there in those days) is still there, and I shot it at angles and then played with it in an editing program, and I may ship a copy with the ms when I return it... In other news, I got word that my short novel The Lunari Mask, part of DoubleDog #4 from Yard Dog Press (along with Mel Fletchers delightful novella Sabre Dance) got a Five Heart review from Love Romances and More. Five hearts is their highest rating. I was Most Pleased, and am certain Mel will be too. The editor has vowed to go out and find more of our stuff... So of course, I am dancing with joy, and having to remind myself that neither the taxes nor the laundry will get finished if I let myself go flying off into the clouds. Must keep both feel firmly planted... ![]() Right... |
