In which Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy world would you choose to live?

You're right I'm a big fan of Mr Gemmell. Unfortunately lives in his universe tend to be exceptionally nasty brutish and short. So I'll pass.

SF- The obvious one would be Star Wars, but i'd probably prefer something like the Otherworld (Tad Williams virtual world) would be cool.

Like most people I like the technology and standard of living in a modern world than the medievel type world of most fantasy worlds.

If I had to choose a fantasy world it would probably be Dinotopia.

Heh i found Connavar's highlander village to be quite peaceful before the Vars,stone.

Nothing wrong with to fight for your way of life.

Although i would never want to live in Shannow's post apocalypse world with zealots,cannibals,brigands killing and maiming people.

Only if you were a peerless fighter like Shannow is that world liveable

Niven's Ringworld would be pretty inspirational

there was a Dr Who New Adventures novel that "borrowed heavily" from the Culture settings - that always read like a fun place.
