Re: In which Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy world would you choose to live? Fantasy: Wheel of time world-I've always loved the wheel of time books so to live there would be just awesome (Especially if I could be an Ashaman) Sci-Fi Honorverse (David Webers Honor Harrington series): I would love to be part of the Royal Mantacorian Navy.

Re: In which Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy world would you choose to live? fantasy: the Discworld would be fun without too much danger, but then again, I've always wanted to walk the Glory Road. The World of Corum or Elric would also be an interesting place to live Sci Fi Tertius from Time Enough for Love

Although, now that Tigana has its name back it's probably a good choice too. It sounded like it was once a wonderful place to live, and hopefully it will be a wonderful place to live again, some day. Maybe get in on the rebuilding projects. ![]() | |

Re: In which Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy world would you choose to live? The day that dragon's are used to heat water to run showers for people is the day that said people become severely scalded. Sorry, Hoopy had to have her say, there ![]() Hmm, where would I like to live...I'm rather tempted by Roland's world in The Dark Tower series. I know it's winding down and moving on, but I want to be a Gunslinger (and when Roland finally gets his act together, the world could be a darned good one again). Discworld sounds like quite a lot of fun, too. Always plenty of goings-on there, it seems!

Re: In which Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy world would you choose to live? Roland's world is very tempting and dragons might be fun too but I'm getting too old for that kind of adventure. If I really could choose any place it would have to be Roger Zelazny's Amber.

Re: In which Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy world would you choose to live? I would have to say I could see myself live in Anne Bishop's Kaeleer (The Shadow Realm). They have so many races/species of from Humans (different types/races), Satyrs, Trigrelanians (Tiger looking people w/the fur), Pixies w/Wings, Dharo People (Wolf looking people w/fur), Centuars, Dea al Mon (Elves). There are also many of every breed of animal who is just as magical and intelligent as the magical human races, from Dogs and Horses to Unicorns and Dragons. It just seems like a wonderful place to live. Post events in The Black Jewels Trilogy. I would definetly have to be a Sapphire jeweled witch or lower, probably Gray, Ebon-Gray, or Black.

Re: In which Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy world would you choose to live? Due to all the health reasons, I think with Fantasy worlds I'd like to drop by as a tourist. At that point I'm spoilt for choice. Possibly Lois McMaster Bujold's one would be first point of call - providing I get to meet the Gods as they are the most fascinating part of it. (Dark Lord of Derkholme rides again )I'd like a time machine to go back and see periods of history that really interest me, especially to see how near to accurate all the living history I used to do is. ![]() For living permanently I think I'd say: The main version of Earth in "Stealing the Elf King's Roses" - lots of interesting different worlds to visit, big variety of races including elves, and justice is made manifest. Comes across as a more exciting, but inherently kinder version of our world. Another Diane Duane entry - being a wizard on present day earth - and getting to talk to cats who are also wizards. Babylon 5 Universe - but not living on earth. Visiting the Minbari perhaps, maybe become a ranger.

Re: In which Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy world would you choose to live? I don't think I'd mind living in Jude Fisher's World from Rose of the World and series. The whole living in a small village/trading in exotic places a few times a year has always appealed to me. Then again, I wouldn't mind living in a court of the 16th/17th/18th century noble family. All those pretty dresses... Sci/fi wise, Jar Jar Binks's world from Star Wars is awesome.

Re: In which Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy world would you choose to live? I would love to live (or at least experience) in a world like the one depicted in the movie Bladerunner; dark, dystopian, dreary...quite similar to Akira which is also a childhood favorite of mine. Cheers, DeepThought

Re: In which Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy world would you choose to live? SF: The Culture- Effective immortality, the ability to explore the universe, the biological changes to the plumbing. :-) Fantasy: Amber, but only if I have the power to move through shadows. To travel to anyplace where the imagination can take you.

Re: In which Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy world would you choose to live? Aside from wanting to be the custodian of the Cemetary of Forgotten Books from Carlos Ruiz Zafon's Shadow of the Wind or the library in Jorge Luis Borges' The Library of Babel; I'm quite happy being right where I am.

Re: In which Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy world would you choose to live? On and off for years I've thought I'd like to be a "Tomorrow Person" - pinch my fingers on the bridge of my nose, think hard about my destination and ta-da there I am. Save hours on the motorway.
