Brass Man- Neal Asher 8

Nutcase android (golem) seeks sanity, evil man with ancient replicating tech seeks power, giant alien follows own purpose, polity agent tries to put it all back in the box. Great action, jumps around a little, but a wizard read.

Sirius - Olaf Stapledon

Stapledon takes a Frankenstein-like story and elevates it to a higher level of emotional, physical, spiritual, and sociological maturity and complexity.

Sirius is a masterpiece.

Brilliant in every way a book can be.

This is truly a work of art.

10/10

Poison Study - Maria V. Snyder
It certainly wasn't the most taxing book, but I enjoyed it and I empathised with the character. I'll give it an 8.

Cheers Shamu, Name of the Wind is in my to be read pile and I shall move it near the top. Incidentally, if someone has read and wouldn't mind scoring the Red Wolfe Conspiracy by RVS Reddick I would be much obliged

Me again I would also appreciate scores from anyone who has read the books in question for the Boreal Moon series by Julian May and the Runelords series by David Farland TYIA

Re: Score books out of ten.

Good to see high rating for Greg Bear's Blood Music.

I was thinking about getting it and trying Bear with it.
