Hello, and welcome in, but you're hardly a writing resource, are you? Someone will probably transport this to the introductions section, but in the meantime, would you like to be critiqued? It's more you that makes the decision. Or were you afraid that if smallish portions of your work appeared on the open web this would either discourage agents or open your ideas to plagiarism? (a not totally unreasonable fear, incidentally, at least for the first, but a short extract is surely not too dangerous, and more likely to get a range of opinions (frequently contradictory, but that's merely telling you to use your own judgement, which, in the long run, you're going to have to do anyway.

You will find a certain level of informality in this site; we like it. You might, too.
