Maria V Snyder

Hey all

Have any of you read the 'Study' series by Maria V Snyder? I've only read the first one, Poison Study, and thought it was excellent. The next two, Magic Study and Fire Study, don't come out till later this year in Ireland and I absolutely can't wait! Her website is Maria V. Snyder, Author for anyone who's interested in finding out more - reviews, excerpts, etc. Believe me, you'll love the world she's created from the minute you step into it

Re: Maria V Snyder

poison study was pretty effing incredible. theres no way thats a YA book, the details of violence, death, torture, and rape are pretty explicit.

I would have never thought it was a YA book. I found it in the Fantasy section. I did enjoy it and am happy to hear about a continuation.

Hey

Yeah, I thought the rape, etc was pretty graphic but I found it in the teen fiction section. Now that I think about it, I really wouldn't want thirteen year olds reading it. Absolutely loved it though -Cal

Read all three and I loved it. I wouldn't class it as YA either, but there you go. Though as a 13 year old I would have read it with glee.

Curious... because I haven't ever read her work. What are these books about? How old is the main character?

Re: Maria V Snyder

Hmm. I think she starts off as being in her late teens (18+) and then gets older.
It's really well done, that's all I'll say. Read read read!
