| Re: Crime Pays? Tax evasion, as opposed to tax avoidance, is a crime (one with huge rewards; and many victims: honest taxpayers). Police informants are often paid, one way or the other. Informants are not always the nice upstanding people we'd like them to be. If this were a perfect world, we would be right to be shocked; it isn't and we aren't. |

| Re: Crime Pays? It's would sicken a pig. Everybody grumbles about tax, but most of us pay it, trying to convince ourselves that the system is fair and everyone pays what's due. A slimeball betraying other slimeballs is, I suppose, natural justice but he shouldn't be rewarded for reporting a simple theft. |
