Parts of a whaling vessel

Hi I am writing an environmental fic which whaling vessels are becoming the targets of ecoterror like PETA or ELF- like organizations.

But I am unable to find any clue as what are vessels look like inside or even what parts are there. Cause I need to describe the parts and the crew as they go along their business only to be blown up like 911.

What era whaling vessels? Sail or the modern factory ships? Suggest you do a search for Green Peace, that would help you as well, as they did and do block whaling vessels from working.

Err the modern ones will do fine.. The novel of Moby Dick has given me enough info for the whaling vessels in the age of sail.

Hammond Innes book...

IIRC, 'White South' by Hammond Innes was set on Antarctic whaling ship ~1950.
