OmegaCon 2008

OmegaCon - Sci-Fi Fantasy Convention -|- March 14-16, 2008
March 14-16, 2008 Birmingham, AL

From the con website:
Quote:
OmegaCon is the newest and greatest science fiction convention on the scene. Being a dedicated Science Fiction/Fantasy convention organized by convention veterans, the planners for OmegaCon have some truly great events planned for your enjoyment. OmegaCon is a true 24/7 convention, and we will have panels and events of various types and interests going from start to finish! Feel free to look around our website and join the community to keep updated. We look forward to seeing you at OmegaCon 2008!
Shaun Knopf is the President and founder of this new con, but rumor has it he served on the Dragon*Con Con-Comm in a previous life. His list of guests is stellar, and early on in the planning they had to move to the Sheraton Birmingham because pre-registrations blew them out of their first venue.

Meadowhawk Press will be there, look us up near the Author's Nook or find us on a panel or two.

Well, that's awesome, Jeremy! We're coming to your neck of the woods for the paaaarty. Find us and say, "Hey!" Us Chroniclers have to stick together!

We'll have a couple of books launching there as well, but alas, our authors could not make the trek.

Re: OmegaCon 2008

I was just informed that the registrations are in excess of 10,000 people. Estimates are that it could go as high as 12-15,000?!? For a first year Con?

Someone pinch me...
