Re: Submitting part of a trilogy

I think I know what John and Dr Sax is talking about, as now on the fourth or fifth run (I lost the count) on my story, I feel that I just let everything come out and I am on 83 000 word marker. However, I do have some self restriction, as I try to form my story so that it is better and much rounder then it used to be. I might be doing something wrong, but as they say, it is easier to cut it out, then put it in.

Also note on the cyberpunk is issue, I thought it over and I understand, even got some of new ideas on the story.

Re: Submitting part of a trilogy

My first novel was also 83,000 words. It would be considered too short for mainstream publication, but it was picked up by an independent press. Don't disregard this avenue.

First one was HINTERLAND, second one, ANGELGLASS, both published by Immanion Press. Angelglass, out last November, was only about 87k. I'm doing 100k-plusers now.

Cool

Looks like Angelglass is getting a very positive reception so far. That's excellent

Re: Submitting part of a trilogy

Yeah, good reviews from SFX, Death Ray, and The Guardian, which'll do for me!
