Roy Scheider passes

A solid old school actor who had commercial and critical success in many roles including Blue Thunder, Marathon Man, The French Connection and most noteably Jaws.

RIP Chief Brody.

And he did his bit for SF too, he was okay in 2010 and I never really got into DSV.

Re: Roy Scheider passes

Sad news, indeed. I was a faithful follower of his Seaquest TV series when it was on, way back and of course, who can forget the Jaws movies.

Cheers, DeepThought

Re: Roy Scheider passes

Most people think of Jaws when they think of him. I think of 2010. That was the first movie I saw him in. RIP.

Echo the sentiments here. He brought entertainment to me through his work, and for that I thank him and lament his passing.

Re: Roy Scheider passes

Such sad news, and I only heard about this a couple of minutes ago. I remember watching him in Seaquest when I was younger, and he seemed like such a great character. Very underrated, too. He will be missed.

Very sad news this... I thought he was ace and like others, undervalued and underestimated in the industry...

My thoughts go out to his friends and family

xx

He's one of those actors who was watchable in anything he did.

I liked him best in The French Connection.
