In need of some help.

I need a name for an environmental occurance that combines aspects of an earthquake, a thunderstorm, and an explosion. There are places, in the idea that I am working on, where the walls of reality are thin, and every so often, one of these occurances happens. During them, people, creatures, and things appear in the world. They do cause people to run to shelters.

Rifts. Splinters. Splits. Renderings. Shudders.

My personal favourite there is Renderings. I think I mean Renderings anyway. I mean when you rend something.

Thank you, I'll take that into account. Shudders sounds like a good name.
(Really can't use Rifts, as it is the name of a pen & paper roleplaying game.)

Anomially - nice and general, can mean what you want, has a nice air of mystery about it.

Re: In need of some help.

The Splitburst; the Thundering; the Crackquake; the Thunderover; the Crossing; the Thunder Hammer; the Distropial; the Bursting Anomaly; (from Ghost of Harrendal's idea) the Anomial; the Thinning Quake; the Quakewalls; the Thunderwalls...

Good luck!

Re: In need of some help.

I'm leaning toward "Flux Wave", "Flux Front", or "Stutter Wave".

Re: In need of some help.

How about Catastrophes, Voidstorms or, simply, Overlap?

If it's a regular thing, people might just call it, "The Happening."

Re: In need of some help.

I like the sound of "void storm". That sounds like something that might be of use in your situation.
