Boba Fett

Now here is a character so many people like. I like him. They really screwed him up though.
  1. He is not a clone
  2. His name wasn't always Boba Fett
  3. For all I know his father was poor
Isn't anyone else even slightly annoyed that they screwed up his history so much?

With the TV show that is due to come I would place a bet that it will get even worse.

Re: Boba Fett

episodes 1-3 were a muck up, pretty much from start to finish - Lucas is a director not a writer - and after his retouching of episodes 4-6 I would say he has lost this talent as well.
As for the series - its now no longer a fan based production - its all about the monies - I expect horrid acting/CGI, terrible plot holes and awful puns to make a bear cringe!
[/rant] (possibly)

You must be getting that info from a book(s). While I do not read much, I have read the 'Tales of' series and the Bounty Hunters book did have a story that matched several of those examples as they were written before AOTC (however the story itself was quite good). They are not canon and you might not have known this but Boba Fett had always been rumored to have a connection with the stormtroopers, although Mr. Lucas most likely had not ironed out all the details, who knows? But the film history of him does not annoy me in the slightest. With Boba being "orphaned" at such a young age, he was able to forge a more individualistic life being on his own regardless of following the same profession as his "father" Jango, something he very well might have done even if he was conceived the old fashion way, you know, with a mynock delivering him.

Re: Boba Fett

All the books with Boba Fett in that I've read correlated the story of his being a clone bounty hunter. There are a lot of earlier books that I have yet to read though.

Bounty Hunter Trilogy (Mandalorian Armour, Slave Ship, Hard Merchandise) and Han Solo Trilogy is where I have gotten this stuff from. It even says his real name in I think its the third Han Solo one but I can't remember it.

I personally think the Star Wars movies all rocked 1-6 baby!!!
Boba Fett is a Clone of Jango, he is an unaltered clone. HIs name was always Boba Fett. Read the current books like the Legacy of The Force series to find out.

Re: Boba Fett

Yes that is a very good book. I can tell you a bit about it if you like sort of like a spoiler.

Re: Boba Fett

I'd like to point out that George Lucas made the star wars universe, and the movies came first. Therefore, if any books contradict the movies, the movies are right.

Right on and still he npw keeps a iron grip on how the story develops. the series will have boba in appearance but is not the main character I thought. I read the plan is to even have 4 spin off series. I can't wait till august 15 and the release of clone wars to the big screen woot

Current books. Written after the movies. How about reading the old books? Before the prequels.

Re: Boba Fett

I too have read the mandalorian armor. But unless Boba is a clone, then he will get old and die (without an even crazier storyline). I find it interesting that his granddaughter stems from the before movie books.

Re: Boba Fett

What do you mean, get old? He was an individual clone made to age at the normal rate. Would his ageing have anything to do with being a clone?

If he even was a clone then no his being a clone wouldn't effect his aging as far as I understand it.
