Mythaxis I've just started an online sf magazine called Mythaxis. If any members here feel like submitting a short story or even a graphic story or sf art, we'll happily consider it for a future edition. This is a serious publication, as you will see if you visit, but don't hesitate to submit. You will receive a rapid and honest response.

Re: Mythaxis Looks great! I am going away on a no-tv, no-phone type retreat this weekend, and my aim is to get a lot of writing done! If I can get a short story out, I will definitely submit it..

Re: Mythaxis Cogito ergo scriptum. It might be nice having a bit mor idea of what you're looking for – the selection is fairly eclectic. Admittedly, it would be rather straining the term to claim that I was a young author, but I could possibly have an idea that would integrate, and I like the short story medium - not easier than novels, but faster. And I seriously believe some ideas were short story length, while others require more space to breath. And that, with the "analogs" and "new worldses" unable to survive and prosper, I can only see the web as a habitat for this important and probably endangered species.

Re: Mythaxis I'm not so young myself - perhaps I shouldn't have used "young" in the blurb. As an editor, I am open to all sorts of sf and fantasy, but I'm going to have areas I detest or am not interested in. So far, I have mostly requested contributions from people I know. If you, or anyone else, has something to contribute, please do. We are not yet famous, but we will be.

Re: Mythaxis By the way, if anyone submitted a story to me and didn't get an acknowledgement, then I didn't get it. My mail server had a conniption about the time I last solicited submissions, and it may have got lost in the post!

Re: Mythaxis Thanks, hectic, Just to document my email hang-ups. It appears some servers don't like mythaxis.co.uk as a To: address. Mail to gil at extinct.co.uk instead if you don't hear from me. The Mythaxis forum was also rather hard to join for a while, but it's OK now. Still accepting submissions, but the Oct edition will close soon!
