| Tonari no Totoro | Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV Honestly, though, OR. In real life, if you started acting like a wolf, how would people look at YOU? Karn and Juken and the others I have would have to be repressed in my mind, man, and I really don't want that....... |

| Direwolf of the chrons | Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV it could have bonuses attached to it ![]() getting fresh food for one - with not processed meat - would lead to a healthier diet !! and its not repression - parts of me are here and parts of me are not here (so to speak) I mean all us of on the net are more confiant - partly because we cannot be contested in the same manner as in the real world. but those things should not stop you seeking a talent in something - try something: walking photography art (drawing, painting) modeling (plastic and metal models 0 not clothing in a shop window - the pay is too low )writing - maybe not fantasy - perhapse collect to gether you understandings of the mythological worlds of he Greeks - pull sources together and write your own works a pet - something like a hamster or maybe a cat -- not too demanding but a constant companion (cats are good at that) |

| Tonari no Totoro | Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV My trouble with writing isn't idea, OR. I have good ones, really. My setup is bad. And as for taking myths, I could never come up with anything of my own, so I do fantasy, which I can come up with. *sigh* And cats aren't too demanding? Ha! You should see the one we have around here. Won't shut up. But Meiko-out Siberian-is a pretty good pup. But people would try to throw me into the nearest funny farm if I started to try to control water and summon tsunamis. |

| Tonari no Totoro | Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV He's an adult, male, not neutered, and before we got him, alpha, so you can probably imagine the frustration we have with him sometimes. But he likes to hang around me, for some reason, and he's a sweet dog. ![]() Like I said, I can't base anything original off mythology, really. The best I can do is take creatures from it. *sigh* |

| Direwolf of the chrons | Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV Huskies are very loyal dogs - not obedient - but loyal and they make thier own view of the home packs order of importance -- as to mythology - well all the greats have been stealing off each other for generations = read tolkein and then read some of the older norse mythologies (esp those which centre or come from the UK) and you will find much of the LotR material sitting right there before you -- it was intentional -- you could try basing a story off the colinisation of the US by the europeans - change enough details round and it would be an original works |

| Tonari no Totoro | Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV I never went for that period of history.......*shakes his head* Personally, I can always find a place for hydras, chimeras, manticores, and such in stories, but stories centering around them or the Gods? Kind of hard to do a quality piece of...... |
