Hello Ursa... and was Devon any earlier? I know they have almost Mediterranean weather down there.

I'd give anything to be in a warm and mild south county at the moment OR!

You'd have to ask Hoopy about Devon, Rosie - I live in Dorset - but I expect it's even milder than here.

Yes I will, thanks Ursa, although I remember having some lovely summer holidays there... no rain for a start! Dorset is a lovely county as well and so is Hampshire, where I used to live.

Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV

I can just about recall a holiday in Torquay (it was 45 years ago, and I was only 6 at the time).

Oddly enough I can still remember one thing vividly. We had been down in some caves (it was an organised attraction of some sort); when we came back up, I tried to use a drinking fountain, but was prevented by the presence of a huge** cockroach. I didn't drink anything opaque (like milky tea ) for weeks after.

** - it seemed huge at the time.

Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV

Oh yuk! I think they must like the heat...we've been inundated with cockroaches for weeks now.

No, holidays in the UK usually meant RAIN apart from one in Wales one Easter holiday. I must have been mad, still snow on the top of the mountains and I went swimming!

Cheerio, Rosie.

By the way, OR, I haven't seen (or heard) the talking tumbleweed. You haven't been "playing" with it, have you?

And hi, Wy!

It seems so, Wybren.

Not that I believe in that sort of thing - not if claimed by mere mortals.
