Blog Entries: 3 | Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV I see what you're getting at, but that's not going to happen in this room. At the first sight of a tornado or a flood, or whatever, there'll be some... words. Anyway, I need your help. I'm thinking of putting in a sort of small, mezzanine level in this corner. Wooden platform on stilts. Make the area above it into something. Probably something bookish, as I think it would be quite nice to have the spiral staircase for the library going up through the middle of it. The problem? I haven't had the chance to practise much, so I lack the finesse needed for such a job. |

Blog Entries: 3 | Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV Yeah! That'd be lovely! Maybe bigger, but we can worry about resizing once it's been formed. I like the bottom bit. We can have a balcony looking out onto the garden! |

Locks some chronicle fairies in cupboard, teases them a little so they are nice and ready for next person who opens cupboard. Installs crisps dispenser for Freda. Home sweet home |

IV ![]() *very quickly, Lenny produces an already engraved plack and some screws. he screws the plaque onto the bottom right corner of the cupbard, below the handle* Whilst I'm waiting for help from the Green quarter, I'll unload the sofa. *with a whistle, Lenny goes over to this sofa and start to take out objects of all shapes and sizes, including a dozen pitted Hambushes* |

| Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV Not a problem, Lenny..... *Goes over to the outside wall, and studies it for a moment. Right: *casts ~GENESIAL~ A double row of ornate wooden pillars spring into being, stretching from wall to wall across the span of the garden wall. On top of those, a sturdy platform appears, with a balustrade on the Tea Room side, and case after case of shelves with leaded glass doors against the blank wall. A strip of thick carpet unrolls itself down the middle, and a curious small box-like structure appears in the middle. Slowly, like a spring uncoiling, a spiral staircase descends to the floor from the middle if the new mezzanine, and the box structure acquires a roof, windows, and a sign reading The Brownie:: Private! As a final touch, the whole of the wall below the balcony slowly turns transparent, broken only by thin glazing bars, and revealing a panoramic view view of the patio, the swimming pool, and the gardens stretching away toward the Valley. A huge pair of French Windows pierce the centre of the window, and a discreet steel shutter system runs across the top on the outside. How's that? ![]() Oh, hi, Hoops! and nixie! Greetings! |

Blog Entries: 3 | Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV Yay! That's brilliant, Py! Orwite, Hoops? *Lenny positions the Hambushes around the room, and walks over to the rest of the objects he's pulled out. After a moment he shakes his head and walks over to the pile of boxes just inside the door that the goblins brought in from the QR. He spies the hat-/umbrella stand and Sanity box and places them next to the door. Whisltling again, he beings to sort through the boxes* |

Blog Entries: 3 | Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV *over at the boxes, Lenny has separated them into piles relating to their use - a pile of tea-making utensils (including Septimus), a pile of food-making tools, piles for objects used to relax, and for leisure... piles for everything. He starts by lifting up Septimus and setting him on the oak counter. He then starts moving the piles of utensils into their respective cupboards behind the counter, careful to give tht ehcutney cupboard a wide berth* |
