Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV

Ah, the operative question is whether you stayed on the stalk long enough to pierce the cloud layer, if memory serves....

Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV

There's the issue, then; nothing interesting happens with beanstalks until they disappear into the clouds (discounting, of course, their existence in the first place!).

Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV

*A large green bush claws back into the room ve-he-he-ery slowly, wrapped in roots and leaves, from snout to tail tip, that are still trying to pull her back*

Mumpf! Hilf!

*Slides back towards the patio doors and grasps desperately onto the frame*

Time for tea, methinks

*unfurls carpet and steps onto it*

All aboard!

"I'm only wearing my tunic and belt. Freda, Hoopy needs help." Freda scuttles over and begins to bite the stalks wrapping Hoopy.

Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV

*Struggles and heats her scales, feeling the roots loosen as they shrink away from the heat*

Be gone, foul plant!

*Wriggles out of the tangle of roots and scampers away as they try to snatch after her. Collapses onto the sofa* Thanks, Freda.

Gah, coffee beans. Coffee beans everywhere! *Shudders*

Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV

Um, Ms. Nixie, could I prevail upon you to ask the coffee beanstalk to abstain from any more grabbing of us here "fey creatures"? We already have grooves in the floor to explain to the goblins....

'Lo again, Hoops!

Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV

Howdo, Grim!

*Peels away a few roots still clinging to her and flicks away beans with a grimace*

The grooves would be me, I'm afraid. I've done a lot more than just grooves in the floor, though. Smashed ceilings (twice), broke the entire floor once, walls, furniture, smashed the sofa and table more times than I count...what can I say, I'm a destructive force...or at least was, haven't done anything really epic for a while...

Yes, thanks Harpo, I've seen enough of the scenery, "Climbs aboard the carpet and closes his eyes. "Rotten place to have an attack of vertigo."

* In a spasm of absent-mindedness, Ursa bites one of the roots. *

Mmmm. This tastes of seal. That's odd.

* He takes another, larger bite. *

Yep. Noticed the clawprints, as it were...

RE the rest of the destruction, well, sooner or later the Goblins will form a Union, and then we'll have to deal with litigation, too...

Faint strains of A Prayer for the Dying emerge from the bitten-thru root....
