| Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV "He'll be fine once he's been fed and he's got Freda back." Puts some tuna nibbles on a saucer and releases the kitten who staggers over, eats two then crashes out. Freda carefully picks him up and puts him on her head. |

IV ahh could be worse though -- at least he is not there with some "motivational program" or "team bonding" (usually including a trip to some strange place and being put through arduous and embarrassing situations with the aim of pulling you all together (and confirming that you all hate the boss ![]() ) |

IV ahh one of those people who once they have given the order think it has already been done (or should have been done) well drivers is a lesser problem - unless they are those that require hunting for! out of interest you must be getting some new business from the vista service pack!! I have not touched it yet, but it seems that your average user is having more problems with it that without (though 1 person I read found that after it had installed 50GB of his harddisk was free - this is on a 150GB drive and a chap who moniteres his harddrive usage!!) |

| Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV Not yet, most Vista computers are still under warranty, so they just take them back to where they bought them. Nobody keeps driver discs, so a large part of the job is logging on to the manufacturers' websites (once we've identified the hardware) and downloading them. UK sites are OK, but US and Taiwanese sites take an age. Half the time, Windows driver updates don't work. |

| Direwolf of the chrons | Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV I think that is because other companies have to pay windows to get that service they even have to pay for driver signing which further confuses new users - suddenly the official drivers from the site (or disk) are not windows official --- something must be wrong here! Personally I think windows should really consider the consumer more - so much of the difficualty with computers is just their own quirks - [/rant] |

| Re: The Tea Room, Mk. IV Recovered from the Ace-Wide Web? (I always keep all my driver disks. It's just that on the single occasion I actually needed one of them, it had gone missing. Why it wasn't in the PC box with the others I'll never know.) |
