Have you ever had a strange dream about ASOIAF?

Well hello all, this is my first post here. I'm on my third re-read of the series now. I'm trying to take it pretty slow so I can catch onto all the small details that I've missed before. I'm spending a lot more time then I should thinking about the series which is I'm sure the cause for my dream.

This dream does contain somewhat of a spoiler so if you haven't read the whole series yet, you might want to skip this post.

I was in some castle and I was running away from Hodor and Bran. Not the same lovable Hodor and Bran that we know. Bran had permanently taken over Hodors body, but it seems that both of their minds were in there fighting for control and as a result they had gone a bit crazy. The Hodor that was chasing me was was wearing torn up clothing, slobbering and gibbering like an idiot. In the basket on his back was the dead, slightly decomposed, forgotten body that Bran used to occupy.

I'm only in the first book on this re-read so I have no idea why I'm thinking of Brans warg abilities yet haha.

Anyway, pleasure to meet all of you.

Welcome, gunder!

I have also had ASOIAF dreams. I can't remember any of them right now but you're definitely not alone. I like your added detail of Bran's decomposed body still riding around on Hodor's back. Nice dream .

Yes, ASOIAF... seems to recall dreams... yes... the scent of blood and the fresh warm kill, but I'm larger than my brothers and sisters, so they just stare longingly whilst I feast. I must eat quickly before the man scent returns... ... ...

Welcome, Gunder.

Hahahaha

I have one a bit worse. A now ex girlfriend asked me one morning rather jealously, "Who is Jaime?" I said "What?" Her "Who is she?"

Apparently I'd mumbled something about Mr Lannister in my sleep, I was 2 chapters from finishing Feast at the time.

Weasel, I fear to know what kind of dream you had about Jaime exactly... Muttering his name in your sleep.

Yes, I have dreams about everything under the sun, especially about stuff I read.

On a side note, I pronouce "Jaime" in the Spanish way. I think it's sounds sexier on our Lannister, a blonde guy with green eyes and a Spanish-sounding name. Kind of exotic. It's hard for me to remember that everyone else hears "Jamie" when they read it. I think "Hai-me" sounds more like a night and "Jamie" sounds more like the spoiled brat Joffrey was. Which I think tells us something.

Something tells me that Jaime would not appreciate being called "Hai-me". Sounds, well, if you like Enrique Iglesias, I guess you could dream about his golden hand

Ugh! No, I do not picture him as a blonde Enrique Iglesias... Inglesias?

I prefer my own pronunciation. I usally try to picture and hear things the way the author indended them (with the appropriate accent and such), but sometimes my initial decision about a pronunciation is so strong that I can't shake it. Nor do I want to.

I have had a dream of ASOIAF but I dont remember it. ASOIAF is so good it is the first series of books i have ever dreamed about. Other authors: Tolkien, Brooks, Jordan, Mccaffrey, Anthony, and a few others have never inspired a dream of their worlds. except GRRM

Ani, Wow, I never realized I've never had a dream about Middle-earth. Oh, now I'm sad. I did have a nightmare about Shanarra once... Now I'm depressed.
