Re: Song Name Game

Don't Let Me Down - curiously omitted from the original release of Let It Be, though it does appear in its rightful place on Let It Be - Naked, it would certainly have been a more satisfactory addition than Maggie Mae, Dig It or even One After Nine-O-Nine. However it was very much in keeping with the band's tradition of holding back one of their better tracks to act as a b-side, in this case the b-side of Get Back. In this way, they studiously avoided conning their fans into buying the same songs over and over but in different formats.

Re: Song Name Game

Get Back - Let it Be was originally to be titled Get Back, but the title they chose was ultimately more fitting for a final album (if not a final release)

Sexy Sadie - white album, originally a song of disdain written by John of their time with the Maharishi (Maharishi - what have you done? You've made a fool of everyone).

Re: Song Name Game

Hmmm .... can't use the lines She oughtta think twice, She oughtta to do right by me from Day Trippers so I'm either gonna have to pass or say ...

Donīt think twice by Zimmy if only because of the influence he had on John (mainly) and the others from Help! on.

Re: Song Name Game

Lady Madonna - a single, featuring sax by Ronnie Scott, who lamented that it was so low in the mix he might as well not have played at all. The Love Album re-mixed the track and emphasised his contribution a little.
