| Re: Eastercon 2008, Orbital If we're going to be looking for our avatars, life is going to be tremendously exciting ... one orange dragon; an Elder God; one very sexy robot; an orange-yellow swirl; black panther; an astronaut; Will Smith even ..... Ah well, no one will ever fail to recognise that it's a Con at least. ![]() |

![]() Sadly, even if I went to the best costume designer in the world, there' no way I could ever squeeze into anything that would make me look like my avatar. Oh well, there's always next year... after the diet! ![]()

| Re: Eastercon 2008, Orbital I'll be going -- finally got around to booking a B&B and paying for my flight yesterday. I'll be the slightly lost-looking, bespectacled Swede with the Lovecraft-themed T-shirt (and had the season been right, I'd have worn my black convention kilt as well). There'll be quite a bunch of Swedes there, including more of us from Gothenburg. |

| Re: Eastercon 2008, Orbital Maybe we ought to knock up a sheet of stickers that people can stick on their badges to show they're members of sffchronicles. Just the logo or something. If we ask nicely, I'm sure the people running the con would be happy to have them on the registration desk - so you can stick one on when you arrive. |

I'm likely to make an appearance on the Friday. Can't stop for the whole thing unfortunately, (Easter is so early this year that it falls on my wife's birthday weekend) but have just asked my Publishers to accept the invitation to take part on a panel ... providing it's scheduled on the Friday!

| Re: Eastercon 2008, Orbital Great news that you're likely to be there, Mark. I'm going to be launching certainly one and in all probability two books at Eastercon, and by the look of things, the launch party is likely to be on the Friday, immediately before the official opening ceremony, so come along for a free glass of wine or two! ![]() Only problem is that the program isn't kicking off until Friday evening, so it seems doubtful they'll be running too many full panel items on the Friday -- they're more likely to happen on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday. |

| Re: Eastercon 2008, Orbital Who has access to a colour printer, then? Who wants to knock up a sheet of small stickers (no more than 0.5cm in diameter should be sufficient) featuring the site logo? Sadly, I only have a B&W laser printer. |
