Learning Creative Ways

This last week, something happened to me that could be taken by some as a stroke of bad luck. (due to pain, sickness) It was rare and which I've never heard of, happening to someone else, that is. (actually, I had a vision of this happening - - the vision being my explaining to an unknown doctor at the time who was treating me the unusual circumstances that this occurred) Could the vision have preceeded or followed the happening I cannot say.

To me what it all means is that something very important can be realized when someone is willing to throw away existing attachments, images and ideals in favor of the creative process (maybe more easily believed if you could see me now!) The writer can escape the pitfall of falling into the pattern that everything has been done or written before, for one.

I take discomfort, however intense, and even unmanageable levels of pain sustained over a period of years, as opportunities that reveal priceless truths. It would be nothing but ignorance (to be ignoring of) not to move these and form them on through story themes.

If this helps in the creative process, I'm for it.
