| The next president There has been quite a lot of coverage of the hustings in the UK. A rather cynical friend remarked that Mr Obama does not fit the requirement of being a 'John Wayne impersonator' like the present incumbent and will be 'assassinated in weeks'. As I have never visited the country I wandered how the US people on the boards view such an observation? |

| Re: The next president Obviously anybody who can say that is talking about the current President, and either has never paid any attention before that or chooses to ignore what (s)he knows about past Presidents because they're too different to fit such a nifty little antiamerican slogan. |
