Re: Nakor (A God?) *Spoilers* He did, but reverted to oranges again. I wonder if Nakor is behind the abundance of Vitamin C tablets that abound and the 5 fruit and veg a day scheme? Perhaps he's Hoopy in disguise.....

Re: Nakor (A God?) *Spoilers* It must be Banath. Think about all the gambling and 'tricks' he knows about. Wasn't he a bit of a thief in his younger days? (or am I mistaking him for Gollum?) ![]()

Re: Nakor (A God?) *Spoilers* *Hides* Sorry, just been reading the Tolkien forum. I swear he was a thief...or was that Macros. Or was it no-one. Anyhow, there are so many possibilities...I'll just wait until March 1st!

Re: Nakor (A God?) *Spoilers* Well, I was cooking up a really nasty spell that would have put a thousand fleas in your shorts, but we'll forgive you this time... ![]() ![]() You can't compare Nakor to Gollum, but yes, Nakor was a thief at one point in his life - as well as always being a gambler with some shady ways of winning. But that's one of the reasons I like him. ![]()

Re: Nakor (A God?) *Spoilers* Well first off, i'm new here XD, and have read all of R.e.f.'s books atleast twice, and through my reading i've developed a theory, but i haven't really had anyone to go over it with, but here goes. While it seems most likely that Nakor is touched by kalkin, i'd like to think otherwise. It can't be Sarig, because Macros has been around longer then Nakor (Nakor is about 300 or so in the serpentwar saga) and macros recieved Sarig's full power as his avatar. But Nakor also seems to be too spread out for just Kalkin, and i don't think his powers would have manifested so powerfully for just a lesser god. So i have two theories about him, 1: Nakor infact has more then one sliver of a god in him (crazy i know) but only Kalkin's asserted its self in his early life, or (and this one is a bit more out there) 2: Nakor has a sliver of the Ultimate god or w/e you want to call it, that he and pug have talked about before, and that is why he is like a kid most of the time, fun loving, loves tricks, jokes... etc. but he is always learning and hes always got a powerful "trick" up his sleeve. And is it not in a child's( The Ultimate was compared to a child pushing things off a table to see what happens) nature to question how things are? And would it not also explain how he is so powerful? like his barrier that can even ward off the ever present Nalar from hearing them, and how he can keep his mind safe from him. Opinions? lol and then in light of writing this and recently having read Into a Dark Realm again, theres always the possiblity he has a sliver of a god from a different plane of reality. But anything is possible, and in the end its Raymond who decides <PHEW>

Re: Nakor (A God?) *Spoilers* Well developed and well written, Spazzer, and BTW, welcome to the forum. I have also thought over time as I read and re-read Ray's books that Nakor is someone very special, and your idea of him having a 'piece of the ultimate god' in him goes along very well with some of my own thoughts. His nature, as Ray portrays it, is almost that of a genius child - very knowledgeable and able to extrapolate and grok situations fully with limited data, while at the same time maintaining that spark of fun. His actions a lot of the time are comparable to a kid pushuing a buttopn just to see what will happen. Perhaps Nakor IS the manifestation of the 'ultimate god' fter all. And maybe we should send some of these ideas to Ray just to see if he goes anywhere with 'em. ![]()

Re: Nakor (A God?) *Spoilers* Welcome also. There's a small and happy band of Feist Fanatics holed up in this section of the forum so another is always welcomed. Thisi is certainly a different take on the debate and not one I've discussed much. Wasn't the ultimate though a being from which the Gods were made up? Indicating that Nakor, Midkemia, Kelewan, the Dasati realm are all a part of this God? Although considering this again, it doesn't mean that Nakor couldn't just be another experiment of the ultimate. Will have to read RoaDK and SoaBC again methinks. Great stuff though.

Re: Nakor (A God?) *Spoilers* Avatar of the Ultimate God...I've never really thought of that. But as Woody said, I thought everything was supposed to have been made by the Ultimate God as an experiment. And, although Nakor is strange at the best of times, I don't think he has just been made purely for the Ultimate God's learning
