Tarka the Otter

I remember all too well finding this book by Henry Williamson in the school library a a kid and kidnapping it till it was finished. It is a classic but upon seeing the film years later I never read it again. I'm a sentimental person and found it a little upsetting! Great stuff tho, very descriptive!

Re: Tarka the Otter

Have you read his other major "wildlife story" book, Unit: Salar the Salmon? As good as, or maybe even better than Tarka, and well worth the read.
He also wrote one called The Peregrine's Saga, which I read years ago, and would dearly love to find again.
